Homework weeks 5 and 6 term 4

1. Visit our blog and leave a comment on someone else’s Mathscast

2. Visit our e-zine and vote for a front cover. You will need to remember your username and password! Everyone is heps_ and then their secret internet name. We all have the same usual password :)

3. Multiplication practice sheets

4. Read for 15 minutes each night (and make sure that you have completed a quiz by Friday each week) unless you have negotiated a longer time frame with me because you are reading a thick book.

5. Visit the e-zine and leave a PQP on someone’s article. (Only 5 people did this last week)

Homework Week 4 term 4 2008

This week you will need to visit our class magazine – the link on this blog under “Online Projects”  You will need to look at the front covers and leave a message for the one you like the best.

You also need to PQP an e-zine article.  You cannot PQP your own article.

This needs to be done by Thursday 6 November please.

Don’t forget to keep reading. Everyone should have completed another novel and taken a quiz by Friday morning

Please see me if you are having trouble accessing the blog or are unable to do your homework for any reason.

Thanks kids,

Mrs G

Monday Week 4

Don’t forget – school photos this morning.

Please wear a clean school top and make sure you have brushed your hair.  Our class photos are around 10.15am so we won’t have fitness till after the photos.

Choir (Mr Lamshed’s) need to be at the gym at 8.30am for the choir photo

Make sure you have found out the correct address for the person you are sending your postcard to – this was last week’s homework. There may be community service for people who have still not done this simple task

See you there!

Reading for homework

There are quite a few students who have not read their lexile novel and taken a quiz yet. Remember – you should be reading at least 15 mins at home every night as well as reading in school each morning.  Unless you are reading a novel like Harry Potter like heps_jeff is, you should be doing at least one quiz a week.  Well done to all those studnts who have completed one or more quizzes. If you do not have internet at home, there are plenty of opportunities for you to take your quiz at school

Parents – please ask your child to log on to lexile and show you their results.

Regards

Mrs G

Homework term 4 week 1

Your homework is to post a comment on this blog. You might say how you like the new format (or nt) You could do me a PQP on it if you wanted!

Also, everyone needs to read at least 15 minutes per night. This means everyone should have completed a lexile quiz by Friday lunch, unless they have already seen me and shown me they are ready a huge book like Harry Potter

You need to ask your parents/carers if they are available to come on our excursion on Thursday 4 December to Signal Point Information Centre at Goolwa and then to Granite Island at Victor Harbour.  Sorry no preschoolers :(
